Grubby The Octopede is a large, 8 legged creature (hence the name) yellow in color with orange spots and antannea. Octopedes are actually quite a large species, one of the largest in the world of Grundo.
Grubby has a big heart, and sometimes, an even bigger mouth. He and Gimmick often get into tiffs, and Teddy ends up being the mediator.

Grubby has a large and unusual apeteit. "Root Stew" a concoction of something resembling potatoes and some kind of green goo, is his favorite. Although nobody else in Grundo can stand it, most, except for Tweeg, are nice about it.

Grubby is a good friend, but has strong opinions that clash with others. At other times, he can melt into a child-like state, such as the time when he met Karen The Caterpiller and fell head over heals in love. After his one-episode stand with Karen, he finds love again in the end of the series with a fellow Octopede.
Grubby met Teddy when they were young, In Rillonia. Grubby robbed Teddy's garden of "roots" in order to make his famous brew.
